Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers
Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (RMFW) http://www.rmfw.org/ dedicates the efforts of our volunteers to supporting published and unpublished writers of novel-length fiction. To make the best use of our charitable workers, RMFW limits its membership to residents of Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Membership, however, is not required for participation in our annual Colorado Gold Writing Contest and Colorado Gold Conference.
RMFW sponsors a variety of activities and events designed to fulfill the purpose of the organization. Members enjoy such benefits as monthly meetings, a monthly newsletter, critique groups, and educational workshops. For published authors, the Published Authors Liaison (PAL) offers cooperative promotion and publicity efforts. The Colorado Gold Writers Conference is held each September with guest speakers, agents, and editors. The Colorado Gold Writing Contest is held in conjunction with the conference. This is an opportunity for unpublished writers to get feedback and exposure. The top three entries in each of the six categories are judged by guest editors.
