Calypso pattern by Roxanne Carter; 2006 Purchased fabric at QuiltWorksNW in Bellevue, WA, but can also be purchased online at Glass Thimble; www.glassthimble.com; 03/08/06 This is my "generator" quilt, made by plugging in my sewing machine for five minutes at a time when we lost power for four days. Quilted by Krista Withers; 10/06/07. |
My finished version: | Detail: |
When we lost electric
power for four days, I wanted to accomplish something during that period of time, so I selected this pattern which I cut out during daylight hours and sewed with my sewing machine plugged into the generator for five-minute periods. This is being called my "generator" quilt. |
