Finished design

This wall hanging entitled "Ocean Waves" was a class project during the Alaskan Cruise held June 27-July 4, 2004. The class started on Monday, June 28, 2004, and I finished it when I returned home on Sunday, July 4, 2004. Although it may appear simple in design, there is no established press pattern and this caused concern for a number of us who opted to tear most of it apart and proceed on our own sewing machines when we returned home. Even at home base with my personal equipment, it was difficult avoiding seam joints of less than four thicknesses on very small pieces of fabric. The reversed diagonal/directional strips surrounding the "ocean waves" were tricky.
