The forthcoming marriage of Eric Turnbull and Emily Miller is scheduled to occur on September 8, 2007. Jennifer Miller, a sister of the bride, contacted a number of individuals in November, 2006 to elicit 30 participants in this "wedding quilt block challenge." In January, 2007, we were sent swatches of four batik fabrics plus a black solid fabric. We were asked to personalize our completed individual block contribution. The thirty blocks will be combined to create a king-size wedding quilt as a wedding gift surprise to the newlyweds.
