High
5:30 p.m. Check in
6:00 - 6:45 p.m.. Greeted by NHS cheerleaders. Brief
comments from Principal, Coach and Larry Martindale (NHS'59 & Pres. Dollars
for Scholars). This will be followed by s brief tour of NHS to see the
changes since our last reunion in 2008.
6:45 - 7:30 p.m. Informal visiting, see memprabilia
in new Alumni Center, new courtyard and library.
7:30 p.m. Group moves to Chicago Speakeasy
Restaurant, 1520 West Euclid Ave., South Room
Please note:
Friday Evening dinner is on your own with a cash bar.
Optional: 7:30 p.m. Football game: NHS vs
Roosevelt HS at NHS Grubb Stadium, west side of 6th & Holcomb Streets.
Be sure to see the newly restored NHS Polar Bear guarded by NHS TOTC

dinner/sctivities
Morning: Time 9:00 A.M. - 11:00. Continental
breakfast and leisurely visiting. At: Epworth United Methodist
Church, 412 Euclid Ave., DM, Lounge Area. Plenty of free parking south of
church, enter using main south door stairs or ramp.
Saturday Evening NHS bash at New Smokey D's Restaurant, (East
Party Room),
5055 NW 2nd Ave. (North of Firestone), with plenty of free
parking.
Western theme --- Levi's, hats and boots welcome
Professional photos taken all evening by: Charles Stover Photography,
Norwalk
6:00 p.m. Cash Bar with quiet, background
music.
7:00 Buffet dinner - menu includes: pulled pork or chicken
with bun, cole slaw, potato salad, coffee, lemonade or ice tea, fountain water,
assorted cookies and brownies.
7:45 Brief program: Introduce Planning
Committee, draw for door prizes.
Music all evening by popular DJ, Travis McLemore (Altoona)
presenting all our recorded favorites from the 50's & 60's, including the
Bunny Hop, Hokey Pokey, Conga Line, and other tunes for our listening and
dancing pleasure. Fun with "Name-That-Tune".
As Roy Rogers used to sing "Happy trails to you, until we meet again."
PLANS FOR 2018
Hope to see you in Des Moines in 2018 for our NHS58,
reunion! Tentative plans are to schedule our 60th class reunion
prior to (or immediately following) the new, annual all-North alumni
reunion.
This year's All-Class Reunion was held on Thursday, May 2, 2013. They
had student art work on display, live music from the band department,
demonstrations by the award-winning Robotics team, Marine Corps JROTC cadets,
the Dollars for Scholars 2013 recipients, and interested alum took a chartered
bus to "old North" for a guided tour.
A Polar Bear Open Golf Tournament was held Saturday, July 27th, starting at
8:00 a.m. at Toad Valley Golf Course.
