Jack M. Wheeler
Jack was a member of North High's class of August, 1941. He enlisted on June 8, 1941 at Fort Des Moines, Iowa in the Army Air Corps. His serial number was 17029322. His death was reported as FOD, finding of death. At the time of his death, his rank was SSG-Staff Sergeant. At the time of his enlistment, his listed next was Mrs. J.L. Moses, 2516 36th Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Awards are the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
