date x Training x Plane from St. Louis to Park AFB, CA (near SFO). Troop ship from San Francisco (11 days of KP duty across; 13 days of latrine duty coming back). San Francisco to Yokohoma, Japan. Flew to Kimpo Air Base, Korea. 20 miles north Seoul. Engineers. 811th Engineering Aviation Battalion. Special Category Army with Air Force. (SCARWAF). Went to Japan. Itami AFB, Japan. Built runways. Testing lab section. Went to Sapporo, Japan. We had some work there and also at King Ebetsu, Japan. Worked there. Concrete was the problem. They were making it out of volcanic ash, so it had far less strength than it would normally have with regular concrete. We used Portland cement and made our concrete from volcanic ash, but using a different mix to increase the strength.

December, 1957 x Employment x Anderson Engineering in Des Moines, IA as a civil engineer. First job was down in Virginia. Contract to establish a location of targets for inertial guidance system. Spent two months there.
March, 1958 x Schooling x Went back to Iowa State for my Master's.
1957-1962 x Employment x Anderson Engineering in Des Moines, IA as senior engineer. Received my license in 1960.
Oct., 1963-
1976		 x Employment x Branch office opened in Phoenix. Anderson-Hermon Engineering until 1976. Partners were Bob Cubley and Dennis Brady (North High, 1957)
May 14, 1976 x Personal x Became born-again Christian. Decided he wanted to volunteer in jail ministry. The first meeting where he preached had 30 women who had come for a service in the jails. For the altar call, at least 15 women accepted Christ. Church was Freeway Baptist. Was there for 20 years.
1977 x Employment x Created business in oil industry. Went to work with Dennis Brady (North High) back into engineering. Chris Olrich. Anderson-Hermon ceased in 1976. Now called Brady Land Surveying and Cubley Engineering.
1980-Present x x Founded and incorporated KAIROS (Time measured by opportunity) jail ministry. Has three services on Sunday, four on Tuesdays, two on Thursdays, two on Friday, and one on Satuday. 2010: Opportunity Bible Baptist Church being started in Tempe.
