ROSEMARY CHRISTINE LIND
Rosemary Christine Brynie Lind was born January 13, 1936 to Lois
and Osmund Brynie in Denver, Colorado. Following the death of her
father, her mother and stepfather, Earl Erwin, raised her in Des
Moines, Iowa. She attended North High School and the University
of Iowa. On February 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to James
Richard Lind. They made their homes in Des Moines, Mason City, Cedar
Rapids, and Fort Dodge, following Jim's career as an Iowa State
Trooper. They were blessed with four children: Connie, Janice, Jim
Jr., and Steven.
Rose co-founded A-1 Home Healthcare in 1979. The family-owned business
was committed to enhancing the quality of daily living for every
generation for patients at home and in-care facilities. Rose was
a recognized leader in the industry, serving on city, state, and
national associations. A-1 retail locations served patients in Fort
Dodge, Des Moines, and Cedar Rapids, IA. Rose held a family mindset
when it came to her employees, and in turn she was a trusted and
endeared employer. As a servant leader in the healthcare industry,
Rose's customers and patients always came first. She had a deep
regard for education in business, believing first you must educate
oneself, then your employees, and finally your customers. And yes...Rose
felt it was imperative to find a trustworthy banker, accountant,
and lawyer. Rose was a member of the First Presbyterian Church,
Fort Dodge, IA, the National Accountants Association, and an exuberant
Hawkeye fan.
Rose's generosity, humor, and perseverance knew no bounds. She
shared her life, wisdom, and heart with all who crossed her path.
Her love and influence will continue to inspire the multitude of
lives to whom she so generously gave.
In addition to her children: Connie Lind-Fraher, Janice Lind, and
