- Spirulina is a blue green micro-algae that grows in
alkaline water. It was discovered early by man as a nutritious food. The
Aztecs of Mexico and the natives of Africa prized it. Spirulina is recognized
today by scientists for its remarkable protein, vitamin, and mineral qualities.
Consumed in Europe, Japan, Mexico, the U.S., and many other
countries, it is still a relatively scarce commodity.
- Chlorella is the botanical name for fresh
water green algae. It is thought chlorella could be effective in cancer prevention. It contains all of the
essential amino acids of protein, nucleic acids, fibers, vitamins and
minerals, as well as many other nutrients, Chlorella has a long list of
health benefits including:
- Enhances the immune system by stimulating the body
to make more interferon.
- Increases the number of beneficial flora in the
gastrointestinal tract which helps in treating ulcers, colitis, chrohn's
disease, and diverticulosis.
- Promotes better digestion. Reduces serum cholesterol, which helps protect
against heart disease.
- Increases energy.
Gently detoxifies the system of built-up toxins, thereby assisting the body's ability to inhibit cancer in all human
organs.
- Chlorella is also rich in magnesium which helps promote mental health,
relieve PMS, and reduce asthma attacks. No cell in the body can function without
this mineral.
- Chlorella may help you with weight management goals. Protein-rich
chlorella provides a long-lasting energy source and, when taken at intervals
during the day, it allows the blood sugar to remain at a normal level.

- Wheatgrass is one of nature's richest sources of vitamins A, B-complex, and C. Our organically grown wheatgrass contains all the basic mineral elements and is rich in calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, sulfur, cobalt and zinc. Wheatgrass has more vitamin C than oranges and twice the beta carotene as carrots! In addition, wheatgrass is abundant in vitamin B-17 (also referred to as laetrile), a substance known to selectively destroy cancer cells in the
body. The owners of The Main Squeeze...Juice for Life have worked closely with Dr. Anne
Wigmore, internationally recognized as a leading authority on the benefits of wheatgrass.
Dr. Wigmore, who made wheatgrass juice popular, reports that 15 lbs. of fresh wheatgrass is nutritionally equivalent to 350 lbs. of fresh vegetables! Based on this finding, just 1 oz. of fresh wheatgrass juice is equivalent to four pounds of fresh vegetables!
